    - Specialization or strong background in labor economics, demography, or development economics.


    - Proficiency in Python and R, with the capability to lead advanced analytics workflows.


    - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative coding practices.


    - Familiarity with data visualization and storytelling tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ggplot2, Plotly) is an advantage.


    - Minimum 5 years of experience in data science or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.


    - Proven success in leading data-driven projects and delivering actionable insights to clients.

    Master’s degree in a STEM field (e.g., Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline). A PhD is strongly preferred.

    Role Description

    Key Responsibilities:


    Strategic Leadership: 


    - Translate client needs into structured project plans and delegate tasks effectively.


    - Provide direction for data-driven analysis and model development aligned with client goals.



    Team Management: 


    - Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering professional development and collaboration.


    - Manage HR-related matters, including performance evaluations and career growth.


    - Supervise team workflows to ensure best practices in coding and project management.



    Technical Oversight: 


    - Review and guide the team’s work, ensuring code quality and methodological rigor.


    - Offer hands-on support for complex coding and data analysis tasks in Python and/or R.


    - Ensure compliance with internal standards for reproducibility and transparency.



    Client and Stakeholder Engagement: 


    - Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and partners.


    - Represent the company at international events and contribute to thought leadership in data science and applied economics.
